McDonald’s CEO warns of hit from boycotts | BBC Recordsdata

McDonald’s said it was once seeing a “valuable” hit to industry, as clients in the Center East and in diverse areas boycott the firm for its perceived strengthen of Israel.

Chief executive Chris Kempczinski acknowledged the impact in a LinkedIn submit, blaming the backlash on “misinformation”.

Within the weeks following the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 final year, McDonald’s Israel said it had given away thousands of free meals to participants of the Israeli navy.

The moves sparked grassroots requires boycotts of the emblem by those angered by Israel’s navy response in Gaza.
