Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes convicted of fraud – BBC Files

Elizabeth Holmes, founder of health abilities company Theranos, has been convicted of defrauding investors after a landmark trial in California lasting several months.

Prosecutors said Holmes knowingly lied about abilities she said may detect ailments with a pair of drops of blood.

Jurors realized Holmes guilty of 4 costs, along side conspiracy to commit fraud against investors and three counts of wire fraud, all of which she denied.

The costs raise a maximum penal complex time duration of 20 years each, but Holmes became now not taken into custody, and not using a date confirmed but for sentencing and a extra hearing scheduled next week.
