President Joe Biden’s administration had threatened to ban TikTok until the company’s Chinese owners bought their stakes. But the Chinese hang opposed a sale.
TikTok has better than 150 million American users, which contains about five million businesses.
A spokesperson for TikTok said afterwards the politicians were “grandstanding”
